Booze Brothers Staff Charitable Fund

The Booze Brothers Staff Charitable Fund was founded in April 2002 after the serious illness of one of its staff members. The aim of the foundation is to assist our local charities and community organizations through donations and sponsorships. These donations total around $30,000-00 per year over a number of different charitable groups.

A proudly South Australian Owned and operated company, our focus has largely been on South Australian charities, but with all requests viewed without prejudice. The staff proudly support the efforts of the Foundation through payroll deductions and other fundraising efforts.

Some of the charities we have supported are :

  • Guide Dogs SA/NT – Sponsorship of 8 Puppies over the last 7 years
  • The Smith Family – Learning for Life Program – Sponsoring 10 children per year over the last 3 years
  • The Hudson Maher Foundation – Donation to support families
  • Riding for the Disabled – Sponsorship of 2 programs, plus an award of $5,000-00 to one of their volunteers as our inaugural “Community Award” Winner
  • Childhood Cancer Association – Student Scholarships
  • Townsend House – Providing equipment for the vision/hearing impaired centre
  • Building Abilities (Minda) – Providing an undercover area at the Brighton Centre
  • Various Organisations supporting Adelaide’s Elderly community
  • The Foundation has set up an annual award, the “Booze Brothers Staff Charitable Fund Community Award”. With the support of our sponsors, Hardys and Fosters Group. Each year an award is presented to a Volunteer who has given exceptional service to their chosen charity and a donation granted to that charity of $5,000-00. A different charitable group is chosen each year and for example last year we focused on Children with Disabilities. This year won by Eric Parnis from St Vincent De Paul Society. For information on this year’s award please contact the committee.

The committee of staff volunteers is happy to assist with any enquires you may have regarding the possibility of financial assistance / sponsorship for your organization, or nomination for this year’s Community Award. They meet quarterly to discuss all applications.
